WHAT IS LUKSO
Founded in 2017 by Fabian Vogelsteller (former Ethereum Lead DApp Developer) and Marjorie Hernandez (former EY Innovation Lab Manager), Lukso is a Layer-1 Blockchain created specifically for the fashion and lifestyle industries transitioning into the Web3 era. After creating the underlying technology and building blocks for Ethereum's smart contracts Fabian recognised the barriers of entry for industry and business and set out to improve on these limitations by creating a trusted ecosystem accessible to all internet users.

Unlike cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are fungible and can be exchanged on a one-to-one basis, NFTs are unique and cannot be exchanged on a like-for-like basis. NFT’s can represent various digital or physical items such as artwork, music, videos, virtual real estate, collectibles, and more. Each NFT contains metadata that specifies the details of the item it represents, including its provenance, ownership history, and other relevant information.
